Hi, I’m Steve, and EKS Parks is my guide to parks and green spaces in London.
I started it because I kept running into the same problem. I’d find a park that looked nice on a map, then spend ages trying to work out the simple things. Is there a toilet? Where do you park? Is the playground any good, or is it two swings and a bench? The answers were usually spread across a council page, an old review and someone’s Instagram post.
So I started going to the parks myself and writing down what I found.
How the guides are made
Every park on this site is one I’ve visited in person. I walk around, take my own photos, read the signs and boards, and notice the things that actually matter on the day, like where the café is, how busy it gets and whether it’s worth the trip with kids.
When I get home, I check the practical details against the council or whoever runs the park. Opening times, parking and facilities change, so I try to get those right before a guide goes up. Each guide shows the date it was last checked, but it’s still worth looking at the official page before a long journey.
What you’ll find in a guide
It depends on the park, but usually how to get there, where to park, toilets, cafés, playgrounds, sports, walking routes, dog rules and accessibility. Then my honest take on what the place is like, including the parts that weren’t great.
Nobody pays for a good review
This site is independent. I’m not connected to any council, park or attraction. If a business ever pays for something on the site, it will be clearly marked, and it won’t change what I write about a park.
If I’ve got something wrong
Parks change all the time, and I don’t always catch it. If you spot something out of date or wrong, please let me know. Send the page link and what needs fixing, and I’ll check it and update the guide.
